* All you can do is buy everything in cash, don't take out any loads of any kind, no new credit cards and don't rent a house or apartment... that may keep most away. But really sometimes they can see even without our permission.

The only way to not have any new inquiries for a year and a half is to stop applying for credit for a year and a half. There is no legal way to keep creditors or potential creditors from looking at you credit report.

Don't apply for any new credit and sign up for the opt out form so no credit card companies can do inquiries on your credit report to send you preapproved letters of credit. Good luck.

You can restrict your credit report to only those who have written permission from you to access it. It's a good idea, too. We once were unable to get a credit card we wanted with a great rate because all of the other companies accessing our credit report without out permission scared them off.
Contact the three credit agencies.

It is imposible. Because companies that have granted you credit make regular reports about your accounts to the three main CRAs: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion.
Anyone with a "legitimate business need" can gain access to your credit history, including:
- Potential lenders
- Landlords
- Insurance companies
- Employers and potential employers (usually only with your written consent)
- Companies you allow to monitor your account for signs of identity theft
- Some groups considering your application for a government license or benefit
- A state or local child support enforcement agency
- Any government agency (although they may be allowed to view only certain portions)
- Someone who uses your credit report to provide a product or service you have requested
- Someone that has your written authorization to obtain your credit report
One thing you can do is to prevent receiving credit card applications by mail - you can opt out of receiving them for five years or opt out of receiving them permanently. For that you can call a toll-free number or go to the web-site for opting out and fill out a form. Both the site and phone service are supported by the major consumer reporting agencies http://requestcredit.com/Facing-Credit-Pre-Approvals-1545368-page_8.php
If you want to keep new creditors from looking at your credit report because of your damaged credit history you will need 7 ears to clear up your credit history. Article on how to improve credit history: http://articlealley.com/article_127892_19.html
The best way to improve you credit score faster is to apply for credit card with co-signer (who has good credit rating of cource) http://ezpreapproval.com/Credit-with-secondary-user-1881749-page_2.php
