Love = True
Career = False, sometimes True. It depends on the effort one has made.
Opportunities = False (need to work towards creating the opportunities that will lead to events happening. If you wait, then you risk traveling on someone else's opportunity and not your own.)
Life in general = False (anything worth having in life is what we work for and the effort we made towards that goal or towards achieving what and where of life)
Besides, what determines how long "worth waiting for" is. It could be an hour, a day, a second before the baby is born, etc.

I think it's too broad to be true. I can think of examples to these would not apply for.
Love: Wait too long to ask the girl out, and she'll start dating the guy that didn't wait for "just the right time" to ask her out.
Career: Stay at a job for YEARS, waiting for the promotion that will never come instead of moving on. Sorry, don't sign me up for that.
Opportunities: Financial opportunities may present themselves where it's important to take action or lose out...just watch out for scams that demand "now or never."
Life in General: Wait too long and all you'll have is regrets. People don't lie on their death bed mumbling "I wish I had not..." they say "I wish I HAD..."
This all does not mean you should never wait...just not always. I like to say: Make the best decision you can, with the information you have available at the time.

The best things in life ARE worth waiting for, but that doesn't mean you necesarily should just wait. Waiting should be done only until the opportune moment arrives and action should be taken to attain them. Also waiting should never be done to risk missing the best things in life... Seize The Day whenever you can. Don't let life pass you by.

I think every thing that happens in life is our destiny.Be it good or bad whatever comes our way was meant to be. That is why we should live one day at a time because you never know what tomorrow will bring. Put away the what ifs and should haves and worth waitings for and thank
god for another day.

True. Just as much as this saying...
"The worst part of life is waiting. The best part of life is having someone worth waiting for."

There are all kinds of sayings that have truth in them, but you can't say they are universally true. Take these two:
1. Out of sight, out of mind
2. Absence makes the heart grow fonder
Now which is it? Kind of depends on the circumstances. Sometimes, with opportunity for example, when it knocks, you'd better answer the door! Here's another truth: Carpe dium - Sieze the day. That doesn't suggest that you wait for the good to come to you. That suggests that you take it when you see it. Both are true, but neither is exclusively true.

Absolutely true. But you must also remember that if you are not prepared to act when "the best things" present themselves, if you hesitate too long, opportunity can be lost. Wait, but pay attention. The best things will come to you, always!

As much of an "instant gratification" type person that I am, I have to say True. The quick fix is usually not nearly as satisfying as the one worth waiting for!!! And you may take that to mean 'all of the above'.

well, it's true that things are WORTH waiting for, but it doesn't' mean you HAVE to wait for them. I'd say "Carpe Dium" is a better saying to live by... "seize the day." If you want something, GO FOR IT. Don't wait for it to come to you. Lost opportunities hurt worse than failure.

I believe the best things in life are worth working for and doing your best. Patience is a virtue, but only when it is the only thing you can do.
