I assume that you are talking about the temperature of the air inside the oven being hot and not the pan ( for which you would use oven mits or pot-holders).
If this is the case, turn your oven off and open the oven door completely and let stand open for a few seconds. This should reduce the heat enough for you.
Also, don't stand directly in front of the stove when you open it, but stand a little to the side and keep your face back. Otherwise the hot air will come streight out at you. A face full of 400 degree air does not feel good.
Happy bakeing!

I hope you're referring to removing the cupcakes from the pan, not the pan from the oven. Obviously, first remove the pan from the oven (using an oven mitt over your hand) and place it on a cooling rack. Then using a thin knife, slide the blade gently down beside the cupcake and "pop" them out one by one.
If that is too time consuming, invert the pan of hot cupcakes onto a flat movable surface such as a cookie sheet. Then place the cooling rack over the cupcake bottoms and flip it over so they are upright on the cooling rack.

You might want to try oven mitts or pot holders. They're probably in your kitchen.
If you want to hurt yourself, use a damp rag. The dampness will only absorb the heat and it will feel as if you're holding the pan directly. A thick, dry towel would be much better.

What always works for me is to spray my hands with Pam cooking spray before I reach into the oven. It keeps your cookies from burning and sticking to the pan, so it should do the same for you.:P

Raise your body temperature to that of the oven and then you shouldn't have any problems. Hope that helps!

use a frikkin pot holder, thats what they're for! If you don't have one, use a damp rag but move them quick because the dampness of the towel will quickly turn to scalding hot!! Be careful, and maybe take a cooking class....
