Prom has a wonderful feelings. It's just apart of the graduation festivities that I feel everyone should experience, you shouldn't miss it. That is practically the last night you'll see your classmates besides graduation, savior the moment cause it only happens once!!

Because when you're older you'll look back at it and be fond of it even though it does seem shallow and superficial. Prom's just a part of growing up, it's like riding you're first bike - you can remember the first time you tried, when you fell, who taught you, what it looked like - i was the same way, i didn't wan to go my senior year because i thought it was stupid. Now that i'm older, i'm glad i did, it's something i can look back on and just daydream about. If you want to save up for your trip, thats fine too, and you can still go and not have to spend too much - there are ways in which you can save money but remember, prom only happnes once in your life.

You can go for cheep, and if your friends truely want you to go, then they can let you ride in the limo for free >)! Its not really that big a deal, if you cant make it, you cant. What is important about highschool is having good memories, for some thats prom, for others its other things. But looking back at hs soooooooo long ago, prom was just a night, i dressed up, and had fun. Its not the biggest event of HS, and its all in the eye of the beholder. If your friends truely want you to go, they can foot the bill for your greater cause. The suit, you can rent for cheep at most malls too. GL

the memories. one day you will look back and understand. but for now, it won't hurt to go and take a few pictures! You can do prom for cheap. It doesn't matter how much you spend there, just that you go and have a good time. and bring a camera.

i skipped mine, and i dont regret it one bit. prom is for the people who love high school, and probably wont do much else after. i knew i wasnt going to be friends with those people after graduation, so i didnt mind skipping buying a poofy dress and listening to a 40 year old dj play top 40 albums.
my friends hassled me a bit about it too, but i did what i wanted to. it was actually awesome, my mom took me to an art museum and out to lunch and bought me a pair of shoes. know im rambling, but dont worry about it. if you really dont care to go, dont.
