You can buy over the counter "water pills" or get a diuretic like Lasix from your doctor. You must be very careful with reducing fluids because you really can't judge how much is too much to take out. If you are getting dehydrated, you will experience headaches, dizzines and muscle cramps. You could upset your body's electrolyte balance and deplete your potassium stores. You also need to stay close to the toilet as you will have to go alot. Take care.

Yes their are prescribed medications that a person can take for water retention(bloating). There are some OTC meds that claim they help, but I havent come across one that actually works yet. Try to drink apple juice, its always helped me with bloating.

Yes there is. They are called diuretics which make you loose excess fluid.
DO NOT ABUSE this drug as it could lead to severe dehydration, kidney failure, and i think you can guess the rest.

cranberry juice, pomagranate juice, lemon juice, grapefruit juice are all 'natural' diuretics...(as are coffee and tea.) but remember to drink lots of water, with salt and potassium or you deplete your body's minerals and can wind up in the hospital.
Have a Dr prescrive diuretics, they are less harsh than those OTC.
