Should primary education be given in regional language?

Now a day we can see medium of instruction as english everywhere because majority of literature,scientific inventions,communication etc are being carried in English.But at initial level our logic devlops generally in our mother tounge .It will be very easy to understad subjects like Maths, science.Surrounding of students is also importent where they live.
On otherside Higher education English is essential.By answering
this question you can guide many to select the medium of instruction at primary level of education.

It should be given in both local and english.
The reason is that more information can be accessed if you know english. The maxim : Think globally and act locally applies perfectly to education.

There is quite a lot of research done which conclude:if you don't learn your mother tongue well you don't learn any other language either. But that does not mean that you shouldn't start learning other languages at an early age like 8-9 years,maybe even earlier. The biggest part of education should, however , be given in your mother tongue at least the 1st 4 to 6 years of school.

yes surely because mother tongue is like a mother as mother is the first person to love us too much same way we must first love our mother as well as mother tongue and learn primary education in their mothertongue
