There was great controversy for years whether they dragged their tails, were warm or cold blooded, were just large reptiles, etc. And yet these ancient people depict dinosaurs in combat, etc. fully-fleshed, etc. How could the have known what they looked like if they hadn't seen them in life ??

You are absolutely correct. Here is a perfect example of a scientific find that disagrees with the evolutionary theory. Unfortunately, like many other things, scientists in general refuse to even acknowledge the find although it was a noted scientist that made the discovery.

Dinosaurs - No.

Dragons- Yes, but most cultures come up with some sort of dragon mythology. Does this mean that dragons existed or that they just imagined what a really big lizard would look like? Or perhaps they found some fossil evidence. I suggest researching on a number of web sites to get as much information as possible. The source you listed is not that objective.

Perhaps they had a more perfect understanding of bodies and how muscles worked by studying the fossilized bones. Western understanding of life before our own time only began in the 1800's. We just assumed we were the smartest culture and that noone else could possible contribute anything of value to our studies. Part of this was the rampant racism of that time period in educated circles. I think it was really possible that ancient Peruvians could figure out the proper posture and ecological niche of long dead animals by studying their fossil remains.

Upon furthur review that is a very biased christian website. Hell, they're even attacking catholics. Geez, must be a baptist website. It lost all it's credability. And if you look closer it looks like they want to get creation to be taught in classrooms. Hmmm, I wonder why they would be so interested in dionosaurs then. Looks to me like they have their own agenda and will say/do anything to get what they want. I guess next you will be posting clips of kent hovind to prove the young earth theory.
