Not exactly...I believe that the saying goes "if you love someone, let them go; if they come back, it was meant to be; if they don't, it wasn't"...or something like that. I have recently come to believe that this is very true. I have loved my best friend of 11 years for a long time, but never said anything to her about it...partially because she was always in a relationship and partially just because I was always scared to say anything. Eventually she got married, and I thought that I lost my chance forever; but apparently she realized that she was with the wrong person. Now we have been able to be honest and open with each other, and neither of us have been happier. I don't think you can let someone go much more than that.

The answer isn't that they WILL come back....it's.... if they do then it was meant to be....
