I hope not. I don't think that the international community would allow it to happen, it could be the beginning of a much larger conflict.

Even though idiots #1 and 2 are in control of the Executive branch, let's hope that either their advisers can talk some sense into them or that Congress will actually have enough courage to say no.

It would be much nicer if the US could readopt a limited isolationist policy.

We lack the finances and manpower to pull it off. Iran's leader is nothing like the villian Saddam was, so it would have to be for another reason. Aren't you glad Saddam is no longer in power? Do you feel Saddam should have been allowed to continue oppressing those he was responsible for? Or is the fact the a Western nation toppled him enough to send you spinning in a circle of reasonless hate?
It's not really about Iran. It's about nukes. First Pakistan and India. Now North Korea and Iran. What nation will work on nuclear weapons next? Can we trust all the nations of the world with these horrible weapons? We must put our foot down, and Iran just happens to be putting itself beneath our foot. What will happen after Iran has nukes? Will Iran also support Congo, Indonesia, and Vensuaella in their bids to have atomic weapons also? You know eventually someone will use these weapons for reasons of stupid pride and the whole globe will suffer atomic winter. I don't think this is an acceptable outcome of Iran's 'nationalistic pride'. If you want to feel proud of your country, get into football more. I wish we could invade Iran, just so we could keep these dangerous weapons from proliferating. Bush is an idiot. He invaded Iraq for his own personal pride and now we cannot invade Iran for an actually important global cause. Global security from nuclear madnees is much more important than avenging a slight to his father's honor. Bush is the worst leader in American, and possibly world, history.

No..

The USA will just take out all the Iranian nuclear assets using B61-11s with little collateral damage. The world will condemn the USA like it did Israel back in 1982 when Israel took out the Iraqi nuclear assets. (Then the world will breathe a sigh of relief and say, "Thank God someone took care of that.")

No. If we invaded Iran the same way as Iraq, they would be expecting it - must do it a different way.....

Probably not.
Notice how the mullahs are telling Mahmood to pipe down since the US moved more warships into the Persian Gulf.
