No it is not slander. Firstly, the slander has to be spoken in front of a third person. If it was just you and the two of them there's nothing you can do. Furthermore, it would really depend on what was said before it could even be slander and since you don't give examples here I can't tell you if it would have been slander had it been said in front of other people.

Hold your head up high, and don't give those co-workers any reason to talk about you from now on.
Nope, you can not sue your Boss for slander without proof. You don't stand a chance in court, and besides...no lawyer would take the case without proof. Slander suits are the hardest to prove, its basically alot of hear say.

You said they questioned you, and that is NOT slander.
I recommend you read up on slander.
Also, as this is America, you can sue anyone at anytime BUT
You would probably loose and the attorney would still cost you a lot of money.
Managers are obligated to get information about their subordinates, so you may want to learn to roll with the punches and not make a big deal if you are not doing anything wrong. Overly cranky people seem guilty.

Slander is the speaking of defamatory words tending to prejudice another in his reputation, community standing, office, trade, business, or means of livelihood. To win a case in court, you will have to prove that one of those areas of your life has been has been damaged. It doesn't sound like you were fired or even disciplined for this, so I'm not sure how you would prove damage.

You co-workers were slandering you, not your boss. The management in your company is clearly lacking the people skills.

Sounds like it could be, but what good will it do? Sue a bunch of people who make barely minimum wage? Lawyers like to look for deep pockets when they go to court and the co-workers aren't likely to have them.
Then again, you would have the satisfaction if proven, of showing them as liars.

remember that a claim must be proven beyond reasonable doubt, and evidences or proofs are the things that will stand in courts, and its your burden to have proof that will warrant your claim.
