My daughter will be a year old on the 16th. When she first started eating baby food she would eat 2-3 jars at a time. Now that she is older and has teeth I have started giving her table food. She does real well on it, and has never choked, but lately she has started refusing food and she is now waking up throughout the night again.. Is her eating habits making her unhealthy and that is why she is having trouble sleeping.. She still eats a few bites here and there, and I sit her in her chair 3 times a day with food. She just doesnt eat the way she did in the begining..

Kids will not let themselves go hungry. She might not be interested in eating what you are offering. She might be getting ready to cut some more teeth. Maybe she is going to grow a bit.
Kids are weird. They go through phases. Your daughter will go through periods where she will eat everything in sight and then she will decide to eat very little.
Everything is fine. She is fine. You might want to check her and see if she is teething. Little irritants like that can cause a "healthy" eater to not eat much at all.

This is very normal - my kids sometime skip an entire meal before bed because they are either being fussy or just not hungry.

I used to worry about it, but the good news is that they wake-up in the morning hungry and ready for breakfast.

The doctor said it was okay for kids to miss a meal, they have small tummies and don't need as much as we think.

Besides, when they have a growth spurt they will definitely eat any food you put before them. So fussy eaters won't be that way forever.

It is normal for older babies to go through stages of not eating well. If you are giving her three meals of healthy foods and small healthy snacks in-between, she should be fine. Children eat when they are hungry. Her trouble sleeping could be from cutting more teeth. Molars are quite painful coming through. You should consult your child's pediatrician though. He/she can assess if what your child is going through is just a disinterest in food, cutting teeth, possible ear infection, or whatever. They can tell you if your baby is on track with her height and weight.
It really sounds like you are doing a terrific job, but if you have doubts your baby's Doc will be able to tell you for sure if you and your baby are on track. Many blessings to you!

She is getting to the toddler stage. They slow down on eating. Most parents think they are starving. She's too smart for that. Just continue to offer healthy foods and snacks like tiny bits of fruit and cheese. Finger foods and snacks are in order. Toddlers like to eat on the run! Too much to see and do to sit through a long meal. Introduce yogurt and whole milk if she is not lactose intolerant. Offer several small meals a day: canned pasta meals, chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes, fish sticks, etc., are favorites of little ones.
Don't worry. She'll eat when she is hungry. Don't offer sweets and empty calories. Avoid too much fruit juice.

The first thing I think when a baby wakes up a lot, is that he/she is not having enough protein to sustain blood sugar overnight. Try going back to some baby foods and gradually change the diet rather than all at once. Feed one new food along with familiar foods.
