I have a 9 year old daughter who is very difficult when irt comes to doing hair, I was wondering if there are any hairstyles that are pain free and are easy to do! I f you know of any please tell me them plus a set of inscruction as too how to do them!

I think when I was nine I had a chin length bob. Usually I just had it pushed back with a headband.
Klutz makes a book on hair braiding. Lots of different braids complete with ribbons and ties and pretty doo-dads. Maybe it might help if you got her the book and let her pick a style.

Since she is nine she might enjoy doing some styling herself. I think I'd get her some pretty hair clips (not kiddie ones but more mature ones maybe with rhinestones) and pull her hair half up or if it's a smaller one, part her hair on the side and clip it back. Or get her a large clip and twist her hair upward from the nape of her neck, clip, and let the ends fall over it. Both of those she could easily learn to do herself (which might cut down on her being difficult) Also try braiding it in one or two braids. Headbands are also a great option.
Oh yeah if her hair doesn't tangle really badly then just smooth it back with your fingers instead of using a brush or comb. I HATED when my mom would pull my hair into a ponytail with a brush. So now I always just smooth my daughters back.

Ask your daughter if she wants to cut her hair shorter or if she wants to start doing her own hair. I have long hair and I start at the ends and work my way up gently going through the tangles. Perhaps you are hurting your daughter. My mom used to hurt me when she did my hair. I then had shorter hair and when I grew my hair out later I was supprised how painless doing my hair was.
