I am a 13 year old female, about how many hours of sleep should I get each night? I am always tired, no matter if I get 2 hours of sleep or 12...why?

Honey, you're too young to be having those symptoms-- tell your mom and see a doctor - a list of what can be wrong:
1. anemia-- not enough iron in your blood- could be due to your periods.
2. thyroid imbalance- you can have a sluggish thyroid which they can check out and give you a pill to help regulate you.
3. you may go to sleep for 8-12 hours, but if you have a sleep disorder, you may actually only be getting 2-3 hours.

Tell your mom- get a physical........you need one as soon as possible............don't be afraid, there are female doctors too.

Well what grade are you in?Im in 12th grade and Im 17,and I graduate this year.And Im always tired just like you.What I found out was,If your 13 and in the 8th grade Students all over the country,get burnt out this time of the year.I just went to bed early,so I started feeling alot better.

could be because you're not getting good deep sleep. anything that keeps you up remove it and you should sleep better

call your doctor proper sleep is important
