Not a bad question if you ask me. I don’t see it as being RUDE… Sheesh…
More than likely you are seeing a backlash of what is actually happening to Christians themselves. Accepting what someone else believes can be destructive in a society and can even end the structure of that society as a whole.
Proof, Ancient Egypt once believed in many gods. Once the Roman way of life was introduced to Egypt, the downfall was eminent.
Even when Saanekht introduced different beliefs to Egypt and split from the status quo Egypt had a time of turmoil (about 17 years)… Horemheb Restored the gods of Egypt and order was restored for their gods for about 1500 years before Rome took over.
Proof, Ancient Rome had vast holdings throughout the world. Once Christianity was introduced the empire started falling.
EVEN in the Roman Empire itself when Cesar Caligula had his reign. The status quo was in turmoil when Caligula made it acceptable and practiced orgies mostly with the same sex. The birthrate of Rome decreased. The next Cesar Claudius made it illegal for these practices and restored Rome to order. (Rome was on the verge of falling.)
So basically what happens is that when laws are changed to accept ways so that people may undermine the beliefs of a government then people QUESTION the governing body and become confused. Confusion leads to anarchy and thus leads to annihilation.
The reason I state the Government AND Christianity are one in the same, (virtually). Our government was founded on a Christian belief of One God. That is why the text of our lands since its indoctrination includes the rights of belief in God.
Truly there is a SEPARATION of church and state to a liberal sense. But that whole separation was created so the STATE (Federal Government) did not CREATE a single belief church. You could worship God in the way you
As for OTHER religions. I’m not one to judge. I believe there is good in man even if he does not call GOD, well.. GOD…
Some people worship Jesus.. I have No Idea WHY they put Jesus before God. When they read the same Bible that states, “HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME.”
So far this is the only serious answer provided that even gives you a history of different cultures. Sorry about the long answer.

There is no excuse for being rude. But what is your definition of rude? Some people believe someone is rude just for standing firm for what they believe. I believe you can be firm and be nice about it.
As far as accepting other beliefs, no belief - not even Christianity, is entitled to automatic acceptance. Just because an idea exists doesn't mean I'm obligated to accept it.
One could ask "Why do rude people bother you?" Where is your tolerance for these people? Why can't you just accept them in their rudeness?
All belief systems are not equal and do not deserve the same consideration. Otherwise I could demand that you accept me for who I am even though I were a child molester.
Clearly if all beliefs merited the same respect then Mother Theresa would be no better than Adolph Hitler. Preposterous!
By the way, has it escaped your attention that muslims are far more intolerant of other beliefs?

Hello talliesga, you say that you feel that many Christians have been rude to people of other faiths. I have noticed some of that too. In my case, I don't mean to come across as rude or unloving. I just want to tell others about the love that I have found through Jesus Christ.
Jesus is not a religion. Instead He is a relationship, my Savior and my Lord. I do believe that because He shed His blood for our sacrifice, He is the only way we can have salvation and eternal life with God. Peace.

Why do people like you group all Christians together? I am a Christian and proud of it. I see other people with different religions, I do not put them down and I accept that everyone has there opinion and thoughts. I do think that my belief in God and the bible is the way to salvation. But I am not going to say that someone elses religion is wrong. Its my choice to believe what I want its there choice to believe what they want. If they would like a friendly debate than that is great. But you should not clump us all together. You are doing the same thing in your statement. And people who are be rude to other people are not true Christians and not following the faith. We are taught to love one another. And rudeness and love don't go together. :-)

It's not all Christians because I don't do it. However, I think there are some who cannot handle someone having different beliefs. I don't know if their faith isn't strong enough to let another religion exist or if they just can't handle someone being different. It's very unfortunate because they close themselves off from some new perspectives and a chance to share knowledge.

Always remember that many people act differently online than they do in real life. I challenge you to go visit a non-denom church for a few weeks and see if you are not overwhelmed with kindness. And trust me, that door swings at us more than we swing it!
If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. -John 15:19

I don't. I generally just have evenly sided conversations. they'll ask me what I think concerning a Godly issue, I'll respond, they'll respond, and so forth.
I just don't accept other people's beliefs because that would interfere with my own, now wouldn't it?
I consider myself closed-minded, which can be seen as a good thing, as it fosters perseverance and skepticism, allowing me not to be deterred from what I truly believe.

From your question it self it is clear that you are also rude against Christians.
Are your eyes blind?
If you go through all questions and answers here in Religion & Spirituality you can see nearly 70% of them are to bang Christians.
Then what is the truth in your question?
Start to evaluate right now.

i apologize on behalf of them. mainly because they believe it to be the truth, and i also. I'm not sure how to explain... it's just when you start to get involved with Christians and start reading the bible, something clicks. it just makes sense. but that may be true for other people of other religions. so insulting each other doesn't really solve anything.

I don't.
Criticizing a religion is not the same as putting someone down or being rude to them.
