That is horrible!!! That dog should not be some sicko's canvas for tattoos. I think I will forward that link to the Humane Society. Also, try alerting the folks in charge of the Chinese Crested Club(sponsored by AKC) here is the link: http://accc.chinesecrestedclub.info/
They would have a good idea about what to do. Good for you for acknowledging that its cruelty to those poor animals.

well if you read the article, this was well over 25 years ago, so the statute of limitations is up by now. Reporting anyone isn't going to do any good. Put your energies into helping some living animals since the pigs and dogs are dead now.

I don't know, but I had greyhounds with tattoos in their ears, and one of my mutts now has a GIANT tattoo on the inside of her leg with her pet number and the "girl" symbol, as if they couldn't figure out her sex. I don't even know if they gave her any painkillers when they did it--it was from the shelter I got her from.

i dont really see this as animal cruelty however it must be painful to these animals. Although i prefer to see things like this rather then things they show on PETA. Have a look and make up your mind

huh..did you hear that they have fish such as parrot fish, mollies, platys, gouramis tattooed now? thats cruel. we wont sell them at our store.
what you can do is call and ask the DEC. they can direct you in the right direction.
about the vet, you can gather info and go to your local vet and ask if you can talk to him about it. he can help by letting you put his name on petitions or sponsor you. you can hang posters in his lobby. hang posters at the local college. there is ALWAYS animal rights activists at colleges. they'll get something started.
good luck!

Are they drawn on, or permanent with needles?
