Pain is an evolved or God given (take your pick) sensation to tell a conscious being something is wrong with their body. It can not be "cured" as it is there for a purpose. What has to be changed are the conditions which cause pain.

"History" as one person put it, "...is a butcher's bench!" Those who write history have concentrated on the painful aspects of it just as the media in today's world reports only what is sensational. The majority of people however live pretty dull but "heroic" lives so if you want to get rid of the pain history gives you in repeating itself just ignore the sensational and look for the GOOD. It is there! Concentrate on it!
