I hear that if you want to burn fat, you would have to do cardio excercises, which includes running/jogging in the morning before you eat. Is it true? How long should I run and how long will it take for the effects to show?

I tried this method and it appears to work (not significant results though). Try exercising 60-90 minutes a day for effective weight loss. In general, you will loose weight no matter what time you work out. The showing of weight loss can take from 1-3 months. It depends on how heavy you are now, and the type of diet you are consuming.
Good Luck

Yep. Because once you eat, you have glyogen (from the food) to burn off. But if you do cardio first thing in the morning (when your glygogen stores are near depleated), then you start burning fat for fuel.

Shorter, intense workouts are THE BEST. So if you can run with sprint intervals for 15 mins in the morning, that'd be perfect. If you can't do that, work your way up to that. Make that your goal. Do NOT exceed 15 mins unless you can sprint the entire 15 mins and still want more.

remember exercises alone won't help much unless you discipline your diet.
