I am on the road a lot with work and I like to try to eat healthy. I will eat the odd chicken salad or spinach salad, but for the most part I need something with more substance. What are some good options to eat that are quick enough to eat for a light lunch but not too expensive to make it unreasonable (maybe under $10).

whole wheat wraps and pitas are a good choice. You can fill them with lean meat and vegetables. If you travel with a small cooler and have everything cut up before you leave, they are very easy to assemble while on the road. There are also many grocery stores that now prepare these fresh everyday if diy isn't an option. I also always travel with apples and a bag of unsalted soy nuts for quick snacking.

maybe a vegetarian pizza with thin, whole wheat crust, and vegetables on it, or a turkey, lettuce, onion, and cheese sandwich on whole wheat bread, or some of those soup on the go from Campbells, or any soup for that matter. Healthy Choice and Progresso make aweseom soups! Also, fresh fruits and veggies washed and cut up in plastic bags that you can take with you. some good ideas are mushrooms, peppers, brocolli, cauliflower, carrots, celery and ranch dip to dip them in. Yummy!
