You could have stopped it before you got it with birth control pills but now it is too late you are just going to have to deal with it. Sorry but congrats on the wedding!

You know, honestly.. I don't think that there is a way to stop is. It just kind of has to run it's course I think, and I've taken human sexuality twice... I'm sorry nothing comes to mind. You can try working out, because I know that sometimes increased exercise will help make periods lighter sometimes, or shorter. There is also that new thing that they came out with, called instead. Try that.

I do know that most birth control can help cease periods, or make them really light. The one im on (the pill) makes my cycle start on Mon, and it's done by Friday! :)

Good Luck and Congratulations on your wedding! :)

He's going to marry you for better or for worse.. So later on after the wedding you can say .. Honey remember that better or worse thing the Minister said? Well here's our very first worst. lol lol He will be ok with it.. If he's not, don't ever get pregnant.. What is he gonna do the last few weeks and right after delivery? Women are not created for the convenience of men. Just let him know how miserable you are and he'll inwardly be counting his blessings that he is not a woman and don't have to deal with this. (hugs)

Like others have said, you can take birth control pills to regulate it several months in advance. I know some meds can shorten the duration of your period, just not sure if they can work once the time has started. It's certainly worth a frantic call to your gyn!

Good luck and congrats!

i do not study preventing, yet i'm getting my era to decelerate a lot by making positive I take ibuprofen because it really is perscribed to take on the field. I take 3 or 4 each six hours....it honestly stops my faster and slows the bleeding down a lot. i'm positive that you comprehend even if you could take this over-the-counter drug, so in case you could, it really is worth a try. in simple terms don't be stupid and take too many. Ony do what's perscribed. reliable success. And congratulations to you and your new husband for procuring married!

a very hard workout lots of running and standing maybe a douche but those are not really for beginners, of course i have never used one so i dont know, you cant stop it but you can make it flow a little less. try a heating pad on your tummy for awhile to. that alot to do in two days when you are doing last min wedding stuff. so just use tampons with a pad back up and lots of potty breaks you dont wanna ruin that white dress.

Starting birth control now doesn't make it stop, sorry. The only thing I've found that speeds it up like half a day is using tampons instead of pads.

hmm, i dont know what to do. you should have been on birth control for months before the wedding day so you could have controlled the time you got your period and also how long it lasts and then plan your wedding around that.

i have been on the pill for years and my period is on the same day each month, and has gotten lighter over the years......cramps have almost, almost disappeared, but i still do get the occasional PMS.

this might help...

sorry, can't stop it. but u can use INSTEAD. you find it with the tampons and pad. it's a "soft cup" that you insert and it catches the fluid. no risk of toxic shock and can be worn for up to 12 hours. best of all, HE cant tell it's there, if you know what i mean. until the "moment of truth" so to speak, i'd use a pad as a back up along with it- just in case. but i've never had any leak issues using it. good luck.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Coco,
Don't worry about it. The guy loves you. Your getting married, right? You can't base your future on one night. You will be together for the rest of your lives there's plenty of time to get naughty. Good luck and congratulations!
