Honestly, dear, they were trying to help you. Obviously you've experienced loss a lot. But I also think you need to be more responsible. That's a lot of pets in a short amount of time. You need to keep an eye out for them for things like that, so they don't get killed in such a short amount of time. From what I see here, you either need to wait to get more pets; wait until you are more responsible. The death isn't all your fault, yet at the same time you could have done something else that would have led it to not running into a road.

Im glad that you stated your age so I know how to answer this the right way.If I was your age I would be real mad at them. But from a adults thinking you have to be a little more responsible and keep the cats inside and the dogs/puppies tied up or in a fenced in yard. It`s hard losing a animal.Imagine if your dog/puppy/cat was hit by a car and lived but was severly injured.Would you or your grandparents have several hundred to thousands of dollars to get the animal treated at a vet? To see a animal suffer would be hard on you.Take precautions and keep them safe.

I'm so sorry for your loss - it so terribly hard to lose a pet. And yes, they should have told you. But I agree with the first poster that you have lost an awful lot of pets in a short time and there is a problem here. It sounds like you are near a road with fast drivers and it sounds like you need a fenced yard before you should get any more dogs. You can try as hard as you can to train them, but a four month old pup let alone any dog can never be fully trusted near busy streets. And cats need to be kept inside if you are near a busy street. Please think about your situation before you get any more pets.

I would indeed be angry. You have the right to know. Your grandparents were just scared to tell you becuase you are still a kid. I think if I were you I would avoid getting pets that can be hit by cars. It will save you some heartache until your old enough to take car of them. Why don't you try getting a ferret? They are really cute and just as smart as dogs. You can teach them tricks and they stay in the house all the time so you wont have to worry about death by car.

check this out it will give you some info on them.

here is a cute picture of one if you didn't know what they are.

I'm 14 and, just last week, my parents lied to me about my Siberian husky Tasha. they told me she had some sort of blood infection and the day before she died they told me she really had cancer. at first i was mad because i thought that if they had told me i could have spent more time with her. but then i figured they did it so that i would still have hope for her and so i wouldn't flip out. they really did it because they thought it was best. they next pup you get train her by getting on her if she gets on the sidewalk and keep her tied to a tree in the front yard so that she will get used to the idea that she HAS to stay in the yard. that's how i trained my dogs and now i can leave them by themselves in the front yard for hours and they don't touch the sidewalk. be sure to take them on plenty of walks and praise them when they do good that way they'll feel no need to ever leave their home=]

~ Are you sure? Perhaps your Grandparents just don't want pets and are getting rid of them while you are at school.

OMG!!!Yes!!! I would not forgive them for such a long time, unless they have a REALLY good reason for not telling you. I am soooo sorry. I can't stand it when I lose a pet.
