Hydrogen peroxide on a clean cloth over your index finger. Nothing smaller that your index finger (like a Q tip) should go into the ear canal.

Do the same as you would your own. Tilt head (thumb and fore finger on either under-side of jaw bone to eliminate bites. Feet should be in claw-proof cat socks so you aren't slashed ), enter ear into very warm but not burning hot sink tap water, so water
sloshes around inside ear. This removes the waxy gunk that traps soil and other bad things. It also lets your cat hear much better afterward. Do each ear for three minutes. Let cat shake the water out where you don't have to mop afterward. Enjoy.

Use a Q-tip (gently!) - be careful inside a cat's ear; only clean the outer (inside) skin: use either water, or there are special ear-cleaning products on the market: check with a pet store (or preferably a vet).

i don't recommend cleaning her ears w/ a Q-tip b/c all that will do is push debris back down into the ear canal & make the problem worse. take some tissue paper or a cotton ball & wipe around the inside of the ear, but don't go down into the ear canal itself. If there is alot of debris then she may have an ear infection which she would need to see a vet for.

See your vet. The cat may have ear mites, that require medication ( you can get an all in one treatment called Revolution). If the cat just requires cleaning, the cat must be sedated by the vet in most cases

I would suggest seeing a vet...the cat might have mites and it would be best you use prescrition medicine.

aww. that's easy. u just take a wet q-tip and "gently" swab away. though you should check with the vet for proper swabbing techniques.
