I know a girl who seemed like she was into me.We flirted alot and it seemed all the signals were there.For a while I didn't see her... Then I saw her at the store.She came up and gave me a tight hug and looked very happy to see me.I asked for her number,and somewhere in the conversation I asked if she was busy...like if I was keeping her from something(she looked busy)...She said "not anymore" in a flirty way.So I called her.We talked for a while.Everything was cool.Then,the next few times I called her,she was "busy".She was getting settled with moving to her dorm and everything.There was also a point when I emailed her...
and out of the blue,she says something like,"I hope you don't mind if we're just friends because I'm busy getting settled with college...becoming a real adult and all..."1st of all,I said nothing about dating(even though it was on my mind).It made me confused with all the signals...but then there were the negative signals also.What do you all think about this?

Well, it sounds like she definitely was encouraging you for awhile, but then something changed.....
And I don't think it was her level of busy-ness.... most single people will make time for romance when the vibe is good, no matter how much is going on in their lives, and you know this is true.
So, either, after talking to you, A) she has decided she's not your type/you're not her type,
OR B) (and I think this is more likely, given the info you shared)
She has met someone else/gotten back together with a previous boyfriend, and is too immature to be able to communicate this.

i dont know but if the siganls were there then she must have been playing with your heart.because trust me a dumped a couple of guys because they were jerks.but u seem like a nice guy but she must already have a guy.if i were u i would just wait to find a ggirl who will treat u with respect and with kindness.

i think you should just leave it considering she said stay just friends lots of my friends flirt with guys they don't like so it could just be her nature but as long as your friends still flirt with her and maybe it could lead to something
