This girl I've known since way back when asked me if I was going to my school's prom, and I told her no, because I really am not into dancing. But apparently, she wasn't thinking the same and asked me if I would go to her prom.
I do like her, but I just don't like going to any prom. I don't want to hurt her feelings, since if I said no, she might take it the wrong way and think I don't like her. What should I do?
I was thinking about intentionally spraining my ankle so that I would be on crutches and therefore not have to go to prom without hurting feelings....lol

suck it up and go. you'll have a good time and you don't have to dance. girls like a guy that won't get up and dance, it adds mystery to your personality. and, if she's totally into dancing, find another babe sitting down and talk to her. have fun!

GO!!! Tell her straight up that you're not that great at dancing but you will go just because she asked. She will probably think its cute, and she might not be that great either or maybe she is who knows?, maybe talk to her before and practice lol, not practice but show her some moves and tell her see I can't dance and then she will probably laugh and want to teach you....aww! And that way she is not surprised when she sees u at prom, sometimes we are not as bad as we think we are. In prom everyone is pretty much crowded on the dance floor, no one is really paying attention. A good tip when you don't know what to do when dancing is the two step. Slow song, fast song...bust out the two step. You're moving but don't look so awkward.

If you really like her tell her that you would be happy to escort her to her prom, but that you are not into dancing. Some kids just hang out and talk and have a good time.

If you really like her, the best thing to do is just to suck it up and go to the prom. And dancing isn't hard but if it scares you just let her lead. She wants to get dressed up and just have fun so you should too.

i know that prom might not seem "your thing" right now, but trust me, you want to experience it just to say that you did. go, it's only one night out of your life.... you just might have fun :P

just go, you don't have to dance the whole time, you can sit down for fast songs, and then for slow songs just shift your weight from one leg to the other while spinning in a circle... easy.

just do it for her, itll be nice, just go as friends and tell her u dont like dancing.
believe me, its horrible to be turned down for a date..and be the only one there without one.
