Call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040, they can provide you with transcripts of your W2 information and have it mailed to you in 7 to 10 days, or by fax if you have access to a fax machine. If you need an actual photo copy of the W2's you would need to complete form 4506 and send that along with a check for 39.00 to the service center where you filed, it will take 60 days to process your request

If you need a duplicate W-2 so that you can file state or federal returns you should ask your (former) employer. They are entitled to charge a small administrative fee, but most do not. The CPA firm I work for never charges when ex-employees of our clients ask for duplicates.

If you need proof of income for any reason, such as applying for a mortgage, you can apply for a transcript. You can either contact the IRS electronically or go to a local IRS office. The transcript is free. It is only a copy of the return itself that is $39.

IRS issued W-2s take 45-60 days, use IRS Form 4506-T.
If you want to get it in a day or two go here Accuverify.com

Call the employer and ask them for one. They shouldn't charge you to do so.

Or, you can request a copy directly from the IRS. http://www.irs.gov
