This happened to her about 2 months ago and i brought her to the vet, she spent the night and they did test on her like blood work and such and when i went to pick her up the vet said they don`t know what was wrong 200.00 dollars later. She did not through up while she was their and did not anymore after that untill now. Has anyone ever had this happen to 1 of your cats. I have 7 and only the 1 is sick. Please help.

Well the hair ball is out of the question but the other suggestion about grass, why do you think it will help? they are inside cats so they dont get grass.

Bartonella. About 20% of the cats out there have it. Very few show syndromes, a few drool a little. You will know they have it if they bites or scratch you. It is commonly called Cat Scratch Fever.
Pretty easy to treat, about 3 weeks of antibiotics.

The white foam can be simple stomach acid, cats do throw up from time to time. Like the other reply, as long as the cats eats, drinks and plays & sleeps normal don't worry. Grass makes them throw up so if the cat is going outside keep it in. Just keep an eye on it as well as the others in case it is contagious. Also watch the cat when it goes outside, if it is eating grass, expect it to throw up. Somehow cats know more than we so about what they need for their ailments. Thats why they offer in door grass to grow for your cats. Now & then cats NEED to throw up

there may be nothing wrong at all with your cat . cats vomit at will and it could be caused by hair in the throat . does your cat eat table scraps . sometimes they will eat something small like chicken bone and the selves of the bone can lodge in the throat. and finely we had a young cat that did the same thing and we did just about the same thing what our vet found was the cat was allergic to the food we were feeding we changed brands

I don't know how to help exactly but do your cats not have access to outside grass? They should have. I suggest putting a few drops or half a capful of organic apple cider vinegar into their drinking water (depending on how large the bowl is), as a general all over-tonic. If your tap water doesn't taste too great this will take away that taste. Good luck and don't take it back for another $200. Get her some grass, and just watch her for a couple of days. Good luck.

One of my cats threw up similar and I was mystified until I saw her licking a toad in the garden and was foaming at the mouth for about two hours after. Maybe your cat tasted something she didn't like and was trying to get rid of the taste.

My cats do this sometimes to. I don't know why they do it though. As long as your cat is acting normal before and after they do this, then there is nothing to worry about. Does your cat act normal after she throws up? Is she still eating her food and drinking her water? Is she still active? If she is not acting normal then I would take her back to the vet.

Well I know that white foam and phlegm is a sign of rabies. Is she foaming at the mouth, it's rabies. If she's just coughing it up, she might have swallowed soap or something. Or maybe it's a symptom of rabies. I would research the signs of rabies right away, so that the other 6 cats won't get sick.
