Taking a girl to a party?

This spring break i want to take a girl to a party im interested in and she most likely wont know to many people how should a act around her. Should i be next to her most of the night or should i venture out everyonce in awhile. Also is it ok to play some drinking games like beerpong and quarters

You should definately stay right with her if she doesn't know anyone. There's nothing worse than going to a party where you don't know anyone and being left by yourself. Especially if you are a quiet person.

She's also probably going to be self conscious and shy since it sounds like your first date with her, so she'll be feeling like everyone is judging/checking out your new gf.

Start off by staying with her, and see if she starts to feel comfortable. If so, then venture out. Make sure you introduce her to people, so that she will be able to talk with others and feel more comfortable. It's also very offensive when you have a conversation with someone else and not introduce her, so make sure you do.

Playing drinking games is fine, as long as you know your limit, and she's not offended by it.

Stay close for a while, until you've introduced her to some people. If there's something you want to do without her (why would you?), ask her if she's ok while you talk to some friends in another room.

Only play the drinking games if she's ok with it. If she even seems not to like it, don't. Leave and go somewhere for coffee or tea or something and talk for awhile.
