because most girls are sit and wait type
ones that do not make the move
and cry when nobody is making the move on them
it's comparable to asking if a guy wants steak or cheese burger for dinner
he knows he has to pick one but if he does he cannot have the other so he must think XD

I'm assuming you mean a marriage proposal. So I think its because marriage is a serious commitment, which most people nowadays don't take serious enough. Marriage is supposed to be a life long thing, and something that serious needs serious thought.

I have a coronary just deciding which pair of shoes to wear..the pressure of picking "the right one" for the "rest of your life" is HUGE! Its such a huge and important decision I think it deserves time to think about it.
