Follow the directions on the box, omitting the oil. It cooks for 12-15 minutes only. Tastes way better than the oven.
You need to use a bundt-style microwave pan to cook it with or the middle does not get cooked.

Prepare according to directions on the package and place in the microwave for about 3 minutes. Pull it out and stir well. Put back in the microwave for another 2 minutes and then stir again. Put back in microwave for 1 minute more. Add an additional minute, 1 minute at a time, until somewhat firm. Remember this will be like a spoon cake. Serve with fresh or canned fruit, or ice cream. It's great in any flavor and only takes about 7 minutes.

With a cake mix you prepare as per instructions on the box and microwave for 10 minutes or until toothpick incerted into center of cake comes out clean. Not likely a whole lot of advantage in this unless you have no access to an oven and outcome may not be as good as a cake done in the oven for about 20 minutes more.

=S I don't think you can.. and if you could I'm not sure how good it would turn out and taste! Buy one of the Better Crocker boxes of cake mix from your local grocery store! They're easy to follow and don't take long.. taste good too! Justa suggestion! (because you didn't state in your question, I'm unaware if you only have a microwave and can't bake one in an oven)! None the less, good luck!

I would't bother. I bought a mix especially for the microwave and made cupcakes. The centers came out hard as golf balls. They were really awful and I would never do it again

they do have special cakes just for the microwave but the texture is not good, more of a tough texture-- just stick with the oven you will get better results!

umm... try an oven. microwaves are used to heat up things that were already made (frozen stuff) or warm up drinks, you have to bake in the oven.
