So I've known this girl for most of my life, but she lives like 1000 miles away, literally. We have always been together (even if it is only 1 week out of a year). Recently she got a new b/f she hasn't responded to me in over a couple months. I know its childish but i cannot stop thinking about her. Any relationship i attempt to enter fails miserably because I can't get my mind off her. Any advice on how to forget her or get her back?

I had a friend like that. We were sweethearts in high school and later in life were together during a few times in my life. I thought he was "the one" but he went his way, I went mine, and we will always be close, no matter how far away. I now have a great family at home as does he. She will always be a close friend, but as soon as you let her go in your heart, you'll be well on your way to your future with someone who fits into your life like your friend couldn't. There's a reason why the two of you didn't come together. Take care :)

It would be good to know your age as that does play a part in our advice. Get on with your life and let it go. She has done this and wanted someone she could be with more than for a week or two! As a man, I am really puzzled on how you could be so taken in with her and not have her with you? Most of us men are physically oriented and want our lady near us much of the time. If you feel you need to, take a flight out to her and surprise her with some roses and a gift. See how she reacts with you there with her. If it still goes bust, so be it, but you would know for sure! God bless your choices. Earl

Um, get her back?You were never with her.BUT, I do suggest that you might want to look into forgetting her and moving on to someone else.Maybe one day, you'll both end up becoming single some day and then you both would be able to become boyfriend and girlfriend (possibly even more).But in the meantime, just move on.

you sound like a whimp, you havent told her your feelings??? do you think she's psychic???? get a life and move on if you can't be a man and tell her how you feel. and if she rejects you forget about it and move on like a normal person does.

Just straight up ask her how she feels about you. If she feels the same way, maybe it is time or someone to move.
