why god gave the amputee life to begin with? his ability to give life isnt in question, its his selective healing. why does he heal some but not other. see how you can convienienlty say "oh its a test in THEIR case", or "god gave them life, and he loves them". thats all it take to shrug off common sense for you?

Agreed. But Then will you answer the question of why God gave the amputee life in the first place?

Don't beat around the bush.....

No answer? Can you not rise above your straw man argument?

You are being irrational and making no logical sense. Please give a clear coherent answer......instead of beating around the bush.

Also I think since I asked the question I decide what it is not you, again.......will you answer the question of why God gave the amputee life in the first place?

Why won't God heal amputees... First that's a loaded question. Why don't you come up with a serious question.

But if you want a direct answer here it is...

He's God, He can do what He wants when He wants. If He doesn't heal amputees then He doesn't heal amputees. He is absolutely capable of doing it.

But get this. Whatever caused that person to become amputated, God allowed it, and knew it from the beginning of time. God knew that person would get amputated, and if He wanted He could have prevented him or her from being amputated.

If a child was born without arms and/or legs the bible says God designed that child that way. For a reason and a purpose.

So by saying God won't heal amputees is an ignorant question, because you have no idea who God is.

Therefore, why should anyone, much less Christians answer ignorant questions directly?

I did not answer it because I did not see a question, but rather an attack. You wish to flaunt your supposed superiority.

I do not answer for God and he has done more than enough healing. Though I know of no amputee's it is not beyond his ability.

Every time the Bible speaks of healing it was to accentuate Jesus' or the Disciple's authority. It was not about the miracle performed but the message.

It is rare that the miracles of old are not repeated. I cannot say if it is lack of faith or the fact God is done with the horse and pony show.

Even Paul who was the "cream of the crop" was not healed of a mysterious "thorn" in his side. So, you see God is not to be a magic genie to work signs for your approval. You have a choice and it is simple believe or not.

What do you mean? He does heal amputees:
Lu 22:51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.

Mt 11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Mt 15:30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them:
31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.

Mt 21:14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.

Lu 7:22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

One guy had a dead, whithered hand and it was restored, does that count?

There are other examples in the Bible. How about you, do you see now?

I won't pretend that I know the mind of God. NO ONE DOES! I don't even think the bible has the full scope of ALL that God has on His mind. However, I will say this world has travailed in sin and pain since the fall of man. God warned "first man" that death was the consequence of sin and disobedience. We are the inheritors because we came out of the same birth line as "first man" which makes us subject to not only sin but sickness and disease. These bodies were not created at first to get sick or die but when Adam chose the word of his wife over the word of God that sealed our fate. Finally, amputees and any others who accept Christ as Lord and Savior can look forward to living in heaven in a body that will never be sick, sad, or die.

An intelligent Christian would tell you that god does not "cure" people, he simply permits our bodies to heal themselves (which is exactly what modern medicine does), so in the case of amputees, they couldn't regrow limbs since that is not something the body could ever do without divine intervention.

This is far too intelligent a reply for Carl. I must remember to stay in character.

It is about Faith!
Which seems to be a hard subject for most to believe, that is the idea of Faith.

But I could see why Faith would be a hard subject to believe.
Faith = Putting aside Man's Logic, Intelligence, Rationality, etc..
Faith is also something that cannot be seen or measured.

But every person has been given this unseen measured amount of Faith.
It is just where is it applied or not applied. The lack of Faith will come to nothing or produce nothing.

This does not make sense if one applies man's Logic, Intelligence, Rationality, etc. for understanding the definition of Faith.

Funny thing about amputees is that when you take Kerlinian photographs of them after surgery the arm image is still there.

We are atoms, sprit. The body is just a temporial vessel.

God does not heal amputees because he doent have to.He will heal them when they are resurected they will be able to get their legs back and walk next to our mighty lord.BLessed are they by the lord its not a curse so think about it.He gave amputes a llife and a chance to still experience peace and know him find a christian amputee with faith and ask him is it ok if your not healed in this time.He will say it is because Gods love is all he needs.

You suggest that a person who does not have all of their limbs is necessarily worse off than a person with all of their limbs. This is not surprising, since you have such a dog eat dog worldview of Darwinism.
As for someone missing a limb, if you want to know why God doesn't heal them, then why don't you ask him yourself? You wouldn't, because you don't believe, therefore, why do you even care?
