Really you need to work on most of your muscles. Boxing requires all muscles so do strength training that will generally improve supporting muscles so that you are the best you can be in your weight catagory. Anyone (almost) can have big muscles, but few people have the right balance of fast twitch and slow twitch muscle fibers to be a good boxer.

If you are medim to large in size generally more fast twitch fibers are needed (still work on both). If you are small to medium in size you probably need more slow twitch fibers and general strength (again still work on both).

Shoulders and back. All of your punching power is akin to throwing a baseball, all of your power does not come from your arms, it is the power generated from your back and shoulders and even your abs that help pack power into your punch. Also, toning up these areas will not only improve your power, but will help you in taking a few hits as well.

honestly biceps dont even play much of a part in power punching. I'd say triceps and shoulders for straight punches and your all your upper leg muscles for uppercuts and hooks.

thats sad that you are going to box and you don't even know what muscles your going to use, but you would need to work out on your biceps for speed on your punches and your thighs and calves for running away like a little girl

Legs are very important. Footwork is often overlooked. Speed and the ability to pivot make you tough to hit.

beleive it or not, just do the wax on wax off, buy an ax to chop wood, and stamina. if you have a good chin and do these three, you are a trinidad in the making but remember, no chin no go.
