Make an appointment to see your doctor. Tell him you have been feeling dizzy and throwing up whenever you think about (name at least 3 things that you worry about.) Make certain you mention the physical symptoms first so that he will listen to the rest. Then tell him that even though you may seem bubbly to him, you do not feel like yourself, in fact you feel very sad. If he dismisses your symptoms again, find another doctor.
Try the same tactic with your parents. tell them that you have been feeling dizzy and throwing up. I hope you get the help you need.

Is there a counselor somewhere you can talk to? I was in a similar situation a few months ago, where my counselor believed I was depressed, and no matter what I told my parents they thought I was just trying to get out of facing other problems.
But seriously, go see a counselor or a psychiatrist. And after you see someone, you will need to sit down with your parents and explain to them what's going on. Sometimes it's hard for parents to believe that something like that could affect their own child. But you do need to get help now, and then worry about everything else.

First look up the depression and make sure you fit the bill. U obviously have the Internet so you can do that. I would get a new Doctor, because even if he's right, he didn't refer you to a counselor. Seek a counselors ASAP. Make sure they bring in your parent gradually. If your depressed your going to need the support, trust me. Or else they'll add to the depression just from being unaware of whats going on. Don't use anyone eager to give you prescriptions. Most depressors change the life style before drugin it.....

do this first go get some exercise... then do this take the B vitamins...they calm you and they are so wonderful for you!
then do this after 2 full weeks read this and see if you still feel the same way. Exercise everyday by a brisk walk, not less than 1 mile per day...if you live in a wheel chair then go for a stroll about
8 miles a day. Being outside helps...fresh air does wonders!

I'm sorry that you are being dismissed, this is how depression worsens and becomes a serious problem and you actually need meds to help it.
Try speaking with another doctor or school counselor or even a trusted adult. Perhaps you need a mentor to help teach you how to cope with the stresses and pangs of fear you are having. Good luck.

Consider speaking with your clergy; seek professional therapy sessions; read books for understanding depression and anxiety. Do not just blow this off. If the signs are there; if you believe you are depressed then by all means seek professional help. My brother always said he was never depressed, dr's said he was just lonely...he listened to all of them and now he is gone. The depression led to suicide.

see another doctor! If you're having these symptoms, you should get some help....counseling is the best thing...get some exercise too......last resort, get some meds for depression/anxiety...there are many out there....but you need to get to the root of the problem which is where the counseling comes in....it's a great way to learn about yourself and how to deal with life in general.....

Now that you're 19, you can make your own therapist appointments. They can diagnose you properly. Better yet, go to a walk in clinic and get an unbiased opinion, if you're depressed someone who doens't know you would be better suited then someone who's got a preconcieved image of you.
Cheer up hun, try getting physically active and stay with friends that make you smile. It will get better

There are different kinds of depression - yours may be the kind that does not respond to tablets and is what your doctor meant. Most forms, however, respond to talk therapy. Find a therapist who can guide you through how you feel.

Change your doctor. Since medication can take some time to be fully effective, practice daily for at least 20 mins. one of the techniques to be found in http://www.relax7.com/7.php or the 2 in the blogs of Shan Eris at www.myspace.com Many people find they can cope, merely by using the relaxation methods, and they are invaluable in times of adverse life events. See http://www.med.nyu.edu/psych/screens/depres.html (screens/depres.html) and http://www.anxietypanic.com/signs.html and http://www.beattheblues.info/? and www.depression.com/-
