Well, first of all, don't forget to put in the síneadh fada (the little line that looks like an accent mark) over all the vowels that need it. Your sentence should be: Táim in grá leat. It's pronounced "TAH-im in grah lat" more or less. "TAH" rhymes with the English word "law" and the "T" has a broad sound as in the Spanish word "también"; "im" rhymes with the English word "him" but the "i" sound is very slight in the word "táim"; "in" is pronounced pretty much the same as the English word "in"; "grah" rhymes with the English word "law"; "lat" rhymes with the English word "hat". By the way, "Táim in grá leat" is not the usual way to say to somebody "I love you" in Irish Gaelic. I think this sort of sentence is popular because it translates word-for-word with the English sentence "I am in love with you". táim – I am in – in grá – love leat – with you If I were to say to somebody that I love them I would say: Tá grá agam duit. or Tá grá agam ort. or (more casually) Mo ghrá thú. And if I really loved somebody a lot and I wanted to say this in fancy way, I would say: Tá mo chroí istigh ionat. Just letting ya know :) * edit: Oh, I forgot mention something: There are 3 main dialects of Irish Gaelic. The pronunciation that I gave you is in Munster Irish (from southern Ireland). The pronunciation will usually vary slightly in the different dialects.
