My girlfriend recently turned 18, I'm 15. We were going out before she turned 18, but I'm unsure if this relationship is within legal bounds. Any advice? Citation would be great, either way.

Well, it's never illegal... until you bring sex into it. You can look up age of consent laws for your state, but I doubt you are of age. Even if you are, most states have further stipulations based on age difference once you do reach age of consent. You could post a question on www.sexlaws.org, however it would take an obscene amount of time to get a reply.

Nope, not legal especially not if you two are having sex (( and you should stop if you are )) Statutory laws are meant for both sexes not just men, and if you two get caught the state could press charges against her even if you don't and she could have anything from fines to jail time because of you and your relationship. Just be friends for 3 yrs and talk again when you're 18 (( assumeing you are still even interested in eachother, you're young there's lots out there ))

who cares , if you like each other , and no according the the rule is not legal. When your 18 you cannot date anyone whos younger.

usually there is a 3 year difference in most states and you are at that....and the state of consent is typically 17. check your local laws though. you are def dancing on thin ice.

of course it's legal if you mean shes too old 4 u, my grandma married someone 10 years older and now is dating someone like 25 years younger. but only if you get married is it illegal

From what i've always understood, the law doesnt apply to dating, but to sex. She would get in serious trouble if reported for having sex with you.

It depends on which country you are from. Age of consent varies from country to country. Anyway, if you guys are just going out, then it's not illegal.

i will need your state to give you a citation. from experience, as long as nobody can prove you are sexually active, its legal.
