It depends on the dosage for your dog ... my dogs thyroid pills run me about $36 every 3 months, and she takes two pills daily. Her dosage is 0.5mg tablet every 12 hours.

If you are talking about the yearly shots (Rabies, Distemper, Kennel Cough) you would need to check prices in your area. Typically you can get packages which include heartworm testing, stool testing, and physical exam for around $100 +/-. You should also check your state regulations, some vets are moving toward 3 year Rabies shots.

My very first Golden in his later years developed a thyroid problem. His pills were very inexpensive for me to purchase through my vet. I purchase them in lots of 90 pills. He lived a very long and healthy life ( he passed away at 16 years old)even with the thyroid problem. The shots are a good guess, it will depend on what the cost of the medication is and if your vet will charge you a office visit each time you bring her in for her shorts. It can be less expensive if a vet. tech can give her her shot.

I wouldn't think the cost would be that much. I had a chihuahua that was born with hydrocephalus and was on 2 meds for life. She had 2-3 checkups a year and the cost was minimal. She died before turning 4 yr old about 18 mo ago, and we would have spent any amount of money to be able to keep her as healty as she could be. We still miss her very much.
