mama bear - see what i mean. your not answering the question. and even if s'one grew a limb over night, no i would not assume it to be god, id make sure he didnt have mutated metabolism and regeneration first. and id check if it really happened.

Strange, isn't it? He helps people overcome all manner of affliction but has never EVER seen fit to grant ONE amputee the limb they lost.

STRANGE...

God has provided a way for amputees to receive healing, although I'm sure that in poor countries they are not able to get artificial limbs. Now you may be saying that's not a physical act of the Lord, but He trusts that we are smart enough to use resources that are available already.

Take for example, if I get sick with a cold,I may ask Him to make me well, but He may ask me, "Why don't you take some Nyquil?"

So perhaps the question isn't "Why won't God heal amputees?" but rather, "Why is he or she amputated?"

Perhaps for that person to learn to be humble. Philipians 2 talks about how Christians should be humble, and yeah, I'd suspect if someone didn't have one of their legs or their arms, and if they needed help all the time, they'd learn to have humility rather quickly.

Out of humility there is love. A thanks and appreciation for what another person sacrificed to be of service to someone less fortunate.

Also, maybe God won't heal an amputee because it's their own fault they're amputated in the first place. How or why that could be the case, I don't know, but it's certainly possible. If you were stopped for speeding by an officer, you wouldn't say to him, "Sorry, it was God's fault for allowing me to go 20 miles over the limit so please don't ticket me." Again, God gives us responsibility and, speed limit signs.

The final reason, in my opinion, is that not all amputees are Christians. If someone who is amputated is an atheist, he or she doesn't even believe that God exists at all so why would they even pray to Him for healing?

I hope that was helpful.

How do you know He hasn't, and doesn't? Just because He doesn't heal according to YOUR idea of "healing" doesn't mean that He doesn't heal people. Our physical bodies are irrelevant. We're all crippled in one way or another, whether in mind, or body, or spirit. Sometimes it's our hearts that are the problem, and I'm not talking about the organ.
Yet God can and DOES melt even the coldest heart. Physical healing means nothing. It's fleeting. Even if an amputee, or one who is paraplegic, or quadriplegic, is healed on the OUTSIDE, it would mean NOTHING if they're not healed on the inside. Eventually their body will break down and die, whether they possess full use of all their limbs or not. But what about their spirit? If there is a God, their spirit goes on living. If not, at least their "spirit" (by this, I mean the thing that makes us each unique; our personality, as it were, and the way we view life) can remain in pristine condition until the moment they die.
I hope this makes sense. It's almost 4 am for me, so I'm not so sure.

Amputees will be healed in Heaven. It might not be the right time to be healed on Earth. Many drug addicts are never healed, cancer is rarely healed.... but the promise of being healed in Heaven is absolute. I can tell you that if you KNOW He doesn't exist and won't heal,... then you never will be healed if you don't have the faith. WHY won't God heal amputees or at least the one you want healed? I don't know.. Ask God. He will give you many more blessings than a lost arm or leg if you trust Him.

The real question is why does God put up with bitter old one-legged men for so long and not just allow them to die?

The answer is that even their bitterness and their resentment and whatever pain they have in their body parts, it is nothing to the tortures of Hell. God allows them to stay alive for as long as possible, because he is mercyful and He is longsuffering. He would rather that those bitter people who put up those type of websites be given all the chances possible to repent of their sins and be forgiven and have a restored body in heaven. But if they do not repent of their wicked ways, being an amputee is the least of their worries, because they'll be given a new body when they die, with both arms and legs, but that body will be fit for destruction. And after his judgment, angels will bound him hands and feet and cast him into the lake of fire that burns forever. His new body will have all his parts, until the demons of Hell chop him into peices over and over again for eternity.

So in answer, God is being very merciful to even keep the breath in the lungs of an amputee who is bitter to the point of Hating God and being a fool in terms of not even believing that God exists.

And what does it matter, you could die tomorrow. The amputee could die tomorrow in an car accident. What's more important, eternity or the few short years here on Earth.

What will you do when you die and you stand before God in Judgment? What will you say to him?

This is what I think. If a amputee witness the word of God and has faith in God even as a amputee and don't feel sorry for their self, their witness is 100 times better than someone who is not. God still uses them for his glory.

God has healed many things over the years and I have heard of such things as amputees being healed.

See what I meant about questions that already assume the answer? You asked "Why wont God do ____?"

You have presumed to tell us what God does and does not do when you DONT know. Your Q was flawed from the beginning because it made a false assumption. While youre at it, why dont you ask me why I was born in kentucky? (I wasnt I was born in Mich) Then you get mad when I tell you i wasnt born in KY?

Have you ever seen all of the amputees? And for your information in the Bible, Peter cut off a guy's ear. Then Jesus came up and healed him. And in the leapers case, often with leaporasy the body parts would tend to fall off, and Jesus completely healed them.....

Wow, how come we never answer your questions?

so you want god to pick atleast only one amputee, for your satisfaction, put on a real arm/leg/whatever and then you will believe in him?maybe he won't do it because you don't love him enough, maybe he won't do it because he gave the world free will, maybe he allows sickness as many sicknesses come from our free choice............while pain and suffering are obstacles to belief, it by no means proves that god is not a caring, loving and merciful god and by no means does not prove his existence. maybe you ought to find out more about god and start asking the right questions.....................

these may help if you are interested,if only for decent reading material if nothing else

You sound very hurt. Are you an amputee? Do you know some one who is?
If Christians would do as Jesus said and fast and pray and study the Bible as we should. Then I know we would see our Faith grow. And it is by faith that Jesus moves.
Please don't blame God,it is the lack of faith of yourself and Christians who pray.
I have heard of many healing of limbs growing back but not in America. We are to absorbed in our self,to really get hold of the power of God.I pray for you to find someone who has the faith.I ask you to forgive my lack of faith.

This question has be asked many times in the past. It is quite simple. People are not starfish. God has allowed surgeons in many instants to reattach limbs but most limbs can not be reattached. and anyone using any logic would know a human was not made to regrow limbs. How creepy can you get. God Bless.
