Hot gets you more looks and guys want a girl to be their trophy. Any girl can be considered cute, but only a few can be considered hot by men. Most men want a "hot" gf...Like, Nick Lachey..Vanessa Minnilo is hot compared to Jessica Simpson....men prefer hot!

After you have read a few dozen, you will have the anwer: Attractive girls are going to be either like Betty (cute) or Veronica (hot).
It boils down to attitude, what does the girl think she is, hot or cute? and that is what she will be.

I think cute refers to attraction to facial features. Hot on the other hand refers to overall attraction of various features of the body, including the face, but to a lesser degree.

To me a girl can be both, especially if she's cute first, but here's my opinion if there's a difference;
Hot = sexy curvy body, nice legs, pretty face, etc..
Cute = slender, maybe short to medium height, pretty girl face, etc...
I love the cute ones.

im not sure since im a girl...
but i have found that guys who have more of a tan and are more athletically built seem to be classified as hot, and guys with lighter skin and fairer hair seem to appear cute.

i don't prefer any cause i am female. but to answer the first part of your question. cute is superficial. hot is something that oozes out of our personality.. it is non-verbal. it comes from within the woman. its confidence and assurance in ones self .. god bless ya
