I have gotten several of those calls, and 99.999999% of them are rip offs.

Yes, many times and these often come with a service fee which is tentamount to amount owed. Don't trust these folks; they're out to make monies on innocent people. Amount owed will always be amount owed. There is no magic to make the amount owed smaller. We need to be realistic.

CORRECTION: 100% of them are ripoffs! Pay your debt off on your own. These places will charge you a fee, trash your credit worse than you ever could on your own & then quit taking your phone calls. BTW, a lot of these places have already been shut down or fined by the FTC, & many are currently being investigated.

Not me personally, but I have seen and heard the ads. I wouldn't trust them. You will hurt your score even more.

Its a scam and they charge you up front fees and do not get anything done. Be careful.
