On tuesday around 12:30 i ate some taco pizza. took a nap and by 3:30 i was vomiting like nothing eles. I had chills, was shaking and did not stop vomiting till 10:30. I ended up in the ER. they had to put me on fluids becuase i had lost so much. that pizza was the only thing i ate that day. does that sound like food poisoning? The doc would not tell me for sure, but i think that the pizza had to be it. should i call the place i got it from and demand my money back or even the bill for the ER stay?

I would ask someone (i.e., your family doc or the ER doc) to confirm the diagnosis of food poisoning. Then, you can definitely write a letter or talk to the manager at the Taco Place. Perhaps they will compensate you to avoid probs. If they don't at least do this, contact the media with your diagnosis in hand. Most business establishments would not want you to do this and may be more inclined to help if they know you are prepared to do this.

IF you can't get a confirmed diagnosis, I would still contact the Taco Place. I would think they'd definitely refund your meal and, again, would perhaps give you something (e.g., vouchers?) for your trouble. You can also prevent others from getting sick. At the very, very least, the manager needs to investigate how this might have happened.

It sounds like food poisoning. Food poisoning is usually painful though too and you don't mention this. At least most times, you get cramps and vomit. If you're fine now and the vomiting occurred after ingesting the pizza, you can bet that is the culprit. Symptoms would persist if there was an underlying cause.

if u're saying u only eat the pizza.. then what pizza that u eat? what are the ingredients? look at the short time onset it should be an intoxication. what time did u buy them and what time did u eat? did u eat it freshly or u keep it somewhere first then after a while u eat it? if u eat it after a while, under what conditions did u store it?

sometimes improper storage for a quite long time may induce food poisoning. The pizza is more likely to be contaminated after cooking because pizza is cooked under strong heat ( except it wasn't well cooked)

so there are 2 possibilities whether it's been contaminated before u bought it ( maybe the food handler unintentionally contaminate it) or u contaminated after u bought it

those are definately signs of food poisoning. i think you should write a letter to the ER saying that you deserved a diagnosis b/c if you got food poisoning for sure that pizza place needs to know that! i'd definately call the pizza place and let them know what happened. if they don't comply with any requests I would get pretty firm with them. that is such a serious thing and i'm sorry it happened to you!
