To access the chat rooms you have to use your messenger. On your messenger you should see the word messenger on your top left hand corner. Click on the word messenger then scroll down and click where it says yahoo chats and voila.

The Yahoo chat rooms are still open but are about worthless. First, by allowing voice, they use up band width and that really slows things down. Secondly, they never seem to do anything about the spammers and bots, which also slow things down. Third, when you complain to Yahoo about some particular problem, they never fix it. They are more interested in pushing dumb commercials at the bottom of the screen than they are in providing a quality service.
