When we are born, I think we get half of our genes from our mom and half from our dad. Since only female can reproduce, how do we obtain our dad's genes? I am really curious about the answer to this question, so tell me no matter how disgusting it may be.

Your "Dad's" sperm contributes his half of the genetic material and your "Mom's" egg contributes the other half.

the sperm contains half your genes from your dads side and the egg contains the other half which are your moms

your dad's genes are in the sperm which combines with your mom's egg = you!
get it? half egg + half sperm = a baby.
