No problem! I live on Long Island and am the assistant greens keeper for Bethpage. The Famed "Black" course will be open because after todays rain has completely washed away all the snow.

Our Motto at Bethpage is " If theres no snow you can go!" It is just a little bit of pain for me and the crew because the rain came so suddenly, but such is the life of a herbavore.

Because of the soggy conditions the rule in play will be of course pick clean and place. But not on the grass. You will have to bring a midget to hold the tee in his left hand for you while laying on his back. If you are a lefty then your midget must hold the tee in his right hand as not to be clobbered by your club head as you complete your follow through.

We here at Bethpage try our best to keep our courses in pristein condition. If you do not have your own midget we can certainly provide one for you. $100 for a new midget and $50 for a slightly bruised one.

Hey...you are staying very close to Bethpage (I don't know if Black will be open but all the courses are nice too).

The weather on the island is up and and down in March. I would bring them anyway just in case you get lucky. There is no way to answer wholeheartedly because it could snow or be in the mid 50's. Nuts! Like right now, 12 minutes from Bethpage (south) it is down-pouring, windy and chilly.

The problem is, you will need to get to the course early because if the weather breaks, it will pack up quick! On weekends, the parking lot is PACKED with non-residents and people who do not want to make a reservation trying to get onto the walk on course (whatever it may be). trying to get on black randomly is next to impossible. people show up at 10 PM to get a parking spot to be in line when the course opens (at day break) and get a tee-tme. it is a fun scene to watch.

You are going to be visiting about 3 minutes from where I work. Hopefully you will be able to get a round in. The courses are really nice!

I left the link to the bethpage pro shop, they can probably be more of a help to you.

There's definitely snow in New York, and even if it melts, the courses will not be open by the 13th. Long-term forecast is for continued cold weather, although it will be warming up a little bit (temps in the 30s and 40s, to near 50).

I'm from NC (Nor Cal), not NY.

But my friends who were just coming back from NY got stuck in a snowstorm, so you probably can't play golf.
