Therapy can help in a number of ways. At times when we are troubled it seems impossible to get real insight into our problems. A therapist can offer a different perspective. Sometimes in telling a therapist our thoughts and feelings, just hearing ourselves talk about it can bring about some resolution and and peace. People can fall into thinking about things in certain patterns...they are used to doing things in a certain way and can not see any other way of thinking about it. Therapists offer alternatives. And sometimes we just need someone to validate us...tell us we are going to be all right and things are okay. There's all sorts of reasons why therapy and counceling are valuable. Give it a try.

The point of therapy is that you get to talk to someone new abuot your condition. I got so tired of talking to my friends over and over that I got into therapy. Besides your friends don't always like to hear about your problems. At first therapy might feel silly and that you are going no where. That's where you and not the therapist come in. You must be totally honest and not afraid. They have heard everything. They will also let you know that you are not alone. Group therapy is great too.
sometimes funny and sometimes people screaming at each other.

A therapist is just to help you deal with issues. They coerce you into talking about private matters that you don't feel comfortable talking to someone else about. Even close friends. They give you insight into way your mind works thereby helping you overcome those issues. A therapist has to build a relationship with their patients and they work a mediator between you and your problems. Seriously. They are great help especially for people like me who have lots of trauma to deal with.

First off you have to have a good Therapist that you click with. You can tell after the first visit if you are comfortable. My Therapist is great. Their job is to talk to you about what is going on and how to fix it. They can tell you why you reacted to something in a way that wasn't good., help you get over anxiety's
You have obviously never been or had a good one, I think everyone should see one at sometime in their life

well...it depends if you want therapy to work for you...if you are a pessimist then you will not make things easy for yourself.
therapy in mental health can help to clear your thoughts, perhaps find the reason for your feelings or the reason for unresolved emotions...it helps to find closure or to reorganise your thought process in order to improve the quality of life you are living....

I think their purpose is to get you to open up and let your feeling out.I also think that they should not charge so much.I think, that just because they have a degree they couldn't`t understand all people. There are way to many different personalities that it even surprises them at times.

To find out when and how the problem arose, and identify the best strategies for treating it, and to give an independent view and supply necessary information.
