Your question was a wake up call for me.
I used to have great legs. U know, I'm 5'9, slim, attractive, leggy, long hair with curls... No doubt great legs give me sexiness but inevitably, confidence. Can't tell why just it just does! I think i have lost the attractiveness of my legs ever since i've given birth. And even though i have lost most of the weights i've gained, the same skirts / pants don't look as great on me as they were used to. Now i know why... !

Dunno about others, but my legs symbolize the "Entry way to heaven..." LOL
Yup - right where they meet eachother is PURE BLISS!
Ok. Ok. Sorry. Just HAD to make a come back for that question.
I'd say as an artist, that Legs symbolize "Free Will".........
God gave us Free Will and we have two legs to help us utilize this freedom. We can move around and do what we want with two strong legs..............

Usually, which too long for me. I believe it depends on the guy as well as his face though. Certain guys can pull off long hair and others can't.

It depends! The artist/ author/ etc. decides that, and may give "hints" at to what they mean it to be. Of course, there's always your own perception/opinion, what YOU feel it symbolizes, what it means to YOU. So one could argue that there's no real "wrong" answer. But some ideas... mobility (in life, status, etc), support, sex appeal, ability/ desire to run away, etc. It often depends on how the objects are presented (position, surrounding objects, color, etc.).

I've never seen "legs" in my lists of symbols, of which I know a little about. Nor in painting or sculpting. Sorry!
