Your ancestors created you, unless, of course, you don't believe in CREATIONSIM.

From a strictly physical standpoint, you are who you are today as the result of the melding of your parents genetics. You have evolved only IF you have some kind of mutation (something that is not part of either of your parents DNA structure. If your DNA only contains the very same things as do your parents, then you are simply the result of the meld...no evolution present there.

The passing of traits from one generation to another is not evolution. Evolution means specific disguishable changes in the DNA structure that will be passed on to the next generation and to every generation thereafter resulting in a permanent change. For example, if you were born with three eyes instead of two, the likelihood of that trait being passed on to every sucessive generation is slim because it stems from a mutation of YOUR DNA that may have resulted from your mother being exposed to a chemical or whatever and it is highly unlikely that it would be passed on to the next generation.

The passing of traits from one generation to the next fits the scientific definition of a 'fact'. It is certainly not 'only a theory'.

you did not evolve from your ancestors, and you were not created by them either. passing of traits is a fact, not a theory. and seeing as your grandparents didn't create you, they cannot command the wind and the waves, and they cannot offer you salvation, i would advise against worshipping them, however tempting it may be.

Genes and DNA are not theories. We do inherit these from family member who came before us. We also inherit the potential for certain diseases from some relatives before us. Sometimes are build, height and weight is determined by those who were our great-grandparents, etc.

In the case of ancestors, I would have to say that evolution and creation are true--at least in the context of your question.

Neither, your parents created you not your grandparents. Since each person is a random combination of two different genetic sets traits are not passed on. That is unless your mother and father are brother and sister.

All life comes from somewhere, that's a given. You ancestors however did not create you, they reproduced your parents who in turn reproduced you. There was no creating, the act of establishing a new organism for the first time, rather your grandparents simply bidded natures calling. You may worship whom you please sense you have freedom of choice, just don't let that freedom cloud your judements of creation.

Wait, what?
the passing of traits from one generation to the next is a theory?

I really hope you're being sarcastic.

Worship me instead! I make a GREAT goddess.

Seriously, worship whoever/whatever you want. You are the product of both your genes and environment. It's been scientifically proven that we inherit certain genetic traits, though, so there's really no worming your way out of that.

It is only a theory to pass the traits? It is a proven fact.

Humans cannot create other humans but can only make. There are two distinctions between them. Make is from something that has been already created (humans), but you just pass on the genes and information required but you don't actually create other humans but make through the fusion of the egg and sperm.

You couldn't have evolved as there is no clear evidence to support that and also if you are suggesting the fact that your anscestors were apes, why are we locking them in zoos, and why are there no more "evolution" processes.

Something for you to think about, but I generally believe that we were created not by men, but by God.
