I've noticed that which ever side of my face sleeps against the pillow has almost no acne, while the "up side" gets way more than usual. How could this be possible? Is there a way to avoid this?

Perhaps the pillow case is absorbing oil from one side? That's a tough one.

You have to attack acne where it starts, with your diet. For me, diet was the cause and solution. Topical medications fight the symptoms. Start by eliminating trans fats and eating more fruits and vegetables. Once you start cleaning up the inside of your body, by eating properly, the outside of your body (your skin) will be get cleaned up too. I started a website to document my problem and solution.

You might find it helpful to read my story. Just remember to eat an all natural/organic diet with lots of fruits and vegetables. Stay away from processed foods. Use mild, all natural cleansers and don't pick at your face. Get lots of sleep and enough water for your body weight. Remember, clean body = clean skin. While you're waiting for your skin to clear, remind yourself that acne is a challenge that you will overcome soon. Once you're rid of it, tell all your friends how you did it. That's what I'm doing. God Bless.

this is kind of strange usually its the other way around as the bacteria gets on to the pillow and causes more acne lesions. the only thing i can think of is that perhaps you left with the medication on several time and its made its way on to the pillow. and when you sleep that side recieves the medication from the pillow and causes less acne. not sure though.

HUmmmm maybe the pillowcase has something good in it. Killing the acne? Buy some witch hazel and dab don't rub your face ever, it spreads the bacteria. Change the pillowcase often. Use a little bacitracin at night on pimples if needed. Wash hands with warm soapy water before and after touching your face. If mom washes the cases in bleach it could be the chlorine drying up the acne....hummm. Makes me wonder. Anyhow good luck.

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://acnehomesolution.com that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

well its possible that the pillow act's as a dry scrub. a way you might be able to fix that is get maybe a soft pillow cover so it doesn't happen. or unless you would like to get rid of acne try sleeping on both sides of your face. it might help.

Of course, this is caused by the fact that the side that "breathes" does not get pimples- the best bet would be to sleep on your back if possible. Make sure to wash the sheets frequently and always take off all the makeup to prevent clogged pores.

hmm thats weird, i dont really have that problem at all. i sleep on one side most time and i dont really get acne on either side of my face. but it may be because of things in the air. but i feel like the side down on your pillow would get more acne for some reason.. seems weird.

Maybe because the skin on the "up" side is exposed to more nasty stuff that clogs up your pores.

All I can suggest is wash your face daily and if it's really a problem, try Proactiv or some other acne solution.

Wash your face every morning and night. Keep your pillowcase washed too. Things that cause acne build up on your pillow and it causes you to have bad acne!
