You could just mash the anchovies to the measuring spoon you want.
But I don't recommend it. You may end up wasting the rest of your anchovies.
If you buy the paste in the tube, it will keep longer in the refrigerator.
I would save the whole anchovies for pizza. YUM!
You can get the anchovy paste in tubes in the stores near the Italian stuff or tomato paste. I know for sure that Trader Joe's has it.

ANchovie paste is just crushed up ---so you chop up hole anchovies then you got the same thing although hole anchovies have a more distinct flavour

my uncle uses paste for his ceasar salad. it should say on the tube how much paste to use for every anchovy. 1tsp/anchovy, i think.

I chop pretty fine, and then smash down with the side of the knife with a little salt and olive oil for texture. Same method I would use on Garlic.
