You have asked a mixed question, there are two aviation ratings that you have mixed together. There are Aviation Electronic Technicians (AT) and Aviation Electrician Mates (AE). Aviation Electrician's Mates are responsible for aircraft electrical power generating and converting systems. They maintain lighting, control, and indicating systems and can install as well as maintain flight and engine instrument systems; Aviation Electronics Technicians are responsible for the maintenance of all aircraft radio, radar, and other rapid communications devices. They maintain all navigation equipment.
Hope that helps out

An enlisted man or women in the Navy aviation section. Party attended electronics school and specialized in that field, responsible for maintainence of electronics equipment and on some assignments possibly air borne operating equipment. Probably 3rd class petty officer after special school graduation, advancing in rank to 2nd and 1st and possibly chief. In old navy air would also be trained as a machine gun operator, probably no more?

Yes.. you work on the electronics of aircrafts or should I say you become a black box technician. You find and replace defective modules and there sent off to be repaired. You may do some very minor wiring. If you want to really get into electronics and not get stuck on an aircraft carrier become an Electronics technician. Great jobs when you get out and much .. much better training.

the military does have certain job placement, yet on condition that there are openings. in words of openings, an similar applies to army. also, your restoration jobs interior the military are a lot extra restrictive. you could in effortless words restoration as a lot as a particular factor and after that it is going to a restoration depot run by civilians. interior the army, you do not have the alternative to deliver the problem area to a depot once you're a million,000 miles out to sea, so it extra duty for you. at the same time as the army would not confusing position you in a particular job identify, it comes close with a job section. As someone said earlier, you pass in as an AV and then the army chooses if you're a AE (deals with means and electric powered distribution) or AT (extra on the computer end of the spectrum). at the same time as ASVAB rankings ought to boost your probabilities of going AT, there are not any guarantees. BTW, do not get dragged in about the military having extra plane. it really is likely genuine, yet your constrained job responsibilities would not make it worth at the same time as.
