It is a good protein source. To gain muscle mass you need to do the exercises for that part of the body.

You're too young to do weight lifting (it will stunt your growth) and you need weight lifting AND whey proteins to put on muscle mass.

Try swimming and take a whey protein shake within 30 minutes after you're done
