I like it alot. I'm just starting to get into photography too, so I think it's pretty good. It might still be amature looking, but if you're an amature it's alright - you'll just get better with practice!
I like it though.. you didn't say exactly how you took it, it's the tail-lights of a car right? What settings did you have your camera on? I just got a new Canon myself a week ago and am wanting to take a picture of tail-lights like that! Good job!

The photo itself is nicely done. The problem is the composition. The horizon is almost dead splitting the picture in half, and the bridge is also dead center. Good effort by a beginner, though. Now go get a couple of books on beginning photography and find out about camera settings, and the artisitc part of photography, particularly composition.
Keep on clicking!

The first thing I looked for and noticed is you don't have the bridge running out of the photo on the left side. That is good. You have a good eye, watched your background or were lucky. Some of my best photos were just luck. Keep on shooting photos like this and enter some into competition, you will learn a lot doing so and if you can place good there you will know your on the way as a photographer.

What did you set your shutter speed at?
From what I can tell, you set it to stay open for some seconds, long enough to capture the scene, but still a little dark ... I haven't decided whether or not the the car's break light (the red streak) that got captured is a nice touch or not. Still a little dark, try setting the for longer and a bigger aperture to allow more light and I think you will get a better, more lit shot.
Good start though!

Ir's gorgeous!! There is a clear focal point and the colors are perfect, I love the red color reflection in the water contrasted with the orange lighting on the bridge. Clear and subple contrast with the trees and sky makes a nice "frame". Good point of view. You clearly have artistic talent!

That effect is so cool! Is that a slow shutter speed view of taillights? Fantastic how it lights up the water. Very creative use of visual. And the night sky is beautiful - one of my favorite times of the evening, makes for an interesting background.

you're beautiful. If it fairly is the image you do in comparison to? attempt wearing some make up as quickly as you're taking a image, the flash has a bent to bathe people's pores and epidermis out and reason them to look uninteresting. (now not fairly you, are not getting delicate on me) it fairly is why actors located on lots make up on degree or in front of the cameras, the extraordinary lights furnishings make each and every individual look tender and bland.

It looks like a postcard.. very nice. Very good for a beginner.. I wouldn't know how to do something like that, and I'm a senior art major. But I do drawing and painting, photography is definitely not my forte.
Good job.

hey..congrats on gettin ur Dslr...
first ur pic is not bad...for a beginner..
but first...the pic is a tad dark...
what is ur focus..? what were u tryin to capture
the bridge...? a slow motion of a car...presentin a
red streak of light....
the picture is not focus...lots of messy outlines...
the pic would hav look great if it was taken a little earlier
shutter speed so be a lil high..to show a glimpse of the car
for a more resouding effect...
Overall i think tis shot is alright...
but hey..dun worry about it...
there alot u can learn...take it slow..
